    What trowel do I use?

    For the Real Wood Adhesive we recommend a 3/16” x ¼” x ½” V-Notch trowel. For the Real Wood Cohesive we recommend a continuous v-notch trowel with ¼” wide teeth and a 3/16” depth. Please note the warranty that comes with the Cohesive is void if any other trowel is used.

    Do you offer a concrete sealer as well?

    Yes we offer a single component, two-in-one sealer and adhesive called Cohesive.

    Does your regular Adhesive have any moisture barrier properties?

    No. If you have a potential moisture issue you should consider using Cohesive.

    How much moisture can be present in a slab when we use the Cohesive product? What are its limitations?

    Cohesive can be applied to flooring that is below 10 lbs on the Calcium Chloride test or below 5.5 on a Tramex Moisture Encounter meter. There is a 10 year warranty provided it was stored in its accordance with our storage requirements, used within the duration of its shelf life and applied in full compliance with our data sheet and install guidelines.

    What are the recommended storage conditions?

    68-72 F and 35-50% RH. Normal interior living conditions.

    What color is the adhesive? Will it be an issue if I get some bleed back through the joints on an unfinished floor?

    The adhesive is beige in color. Because we recommend a smaller trowel size than comparable glues the possibility of it getting squeezed up through joints is minimized.

    What is the spread rate on your adhesives?

    For the Real Wood Adhesive we are looking at 55sqft per gallon and for the Cohesive we’re looking at 35-40sqft per gallon when used to install our products.

    Will your products work over radiant heat?

    Yes. Our products are compatible with in floor heat systems.

    Is there an open time for the adhesive. Do you have to wait after spreading before you can lay flooring?

    No. You can start laying once you’ve spread the adhesive.

    Can this adhesive be used with products other than RWF floors?

    Yes it can as long as you follow our installation and preparation guidelines. The only thing we don’t recommend using it on is stranded bamboo products.
